    To the editor: Many lecturers within the California State College system are being told that, attributable to price range cuts, their lessons are being diminished and infrequently eradicated. As well as, it’s tougher for departments to hire new tenure-track faculty.

    Nonetheless, I suppose prime executives can nonetheless afford to provide themselves pay raises (“Higher pay approved for Cal State executives as system struggles to recruit campus presidents,” Nov. 20).

    CSU Chancellor Mildred García mentioned, “We should maintain tempo to draw and retain a talented, numerous and engaged workforce.” It’s a disgrace that her phrases seemingly apply solely to workers making salaries effectively into the six figures.
