To the editor: President Trump designated “antifa,” a nonentity, as a terrorist group (“Trump’s new order could redefine protests as ‘domestic terrorism,’ ” Oct. 13). And now, leaders of his celebration have determined to label all of us who protest his merciless, petty and definitely unconstitutional overreaches as terrorists who “hate America.”

Not solely have they got it utterly backward, however I’m assured that historical past will come down in favor of us protesters and arduous in opposition to he-who-would-be-king.

And the way Republicans can assist Trump’s undemocratic stances defies purpose. His cruelty, vindictiveness, dishonesty and racism are all well-documented, as are each his denials of science and his support of institutionalized ignorance.

Toss in his whole lack of empathy, and by any metric, Trump’s actions are an ideal recipe for catastrophe.

With a compliant Supreme Courtroom and a Congress that helps his each whim, it might take a miracle for our democracy to endure by way of Trump’s second time period.
