To the editor: In his studied criticism of the brand new Adam Sandler flick, contributing author Josh Hammer recommends “Glad Gilmore 2” to those that cherish household values — apparently, these comparable to sturdy language, crude and sexual materials and partial nudity (“Happy Gilmore, icon of conservative family values,” Aug. 1)

I additionally love his endorsement of nepotism as dedication to household, evidenced by the casting of Sandler’s spouse and children in minor roles. He suggests this can be a method to “do proper by the following era” (President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner’s failure to create a long-lasting peace within the Center East however).

However the largest howler on this piece is his reminder {that a} life effectively lived doesn’t “exalt the self.” Hammer manufacturers that as a “conventional conservative message,” though I’m guessing that doesn’t apply to the possible new namesake of the Kennedy Middle for the Performing Arts?
