To the editor: U.S. Atty. Gen. Pam Bondi has determined that to comply with Trump’s purported coverage to maintain People protected, she’s going to ask federal prosecutors to hunt the dying penalty for Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of a rich medical insurance government (“Prosecutors directed to seek death penalty against Luigi Mangione in CEO’s killing,” April 1). Apparently the life of 1 wealthy man trumps the deaths of scores of kids murdered in lots of of college shootings in America since Columbine. If solely these youngsters had been born rich, then their deaths may need motivated Congress and the Division of “Justice” to behave accordingly, somewhat than providing their ideas and prayers. Do you are feeling safer?

To the editor: Ordinarily, folks would say that what’s holding up the discharge of Lyle and Erik Menendez is the truth that they murdered their very own mother and father in a premeditated and violent manner. However the Menendez brothers are distinctive amongst killers in that they’d the prospect to win the general public’s hearts by wanting younger and weak at their televised trial, as they tearfully testified that their mother and father abused them. Consequently, their first trial ended with a hung jury. Mangione is in an identical place. Are his defenders crusading over the injustice that allegedly provoked the alleged homicide — the profiteering healthcare trade — or merely swooning over a cute man?
