The talk over whether or not Baseball Corridor of Fame ballots must be made public has been a polarizing one for years, however you might be stunned to listen to the place nearly all of voters stand.

After the 2025 Nationwide Baseball Corridor of Fame Class was introduced on Tuesday, longtime ESPN reporter Buster Olney instructed that it must be a requirement for Baseball Writers’ Affiliation of America voters to make their poll public with a purpose to take part in Corridor of Fame voting. One voter stated he and most of his friends agree, however the higher-ups in Cooperstown won’t permit it.

In response to Olney, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Put up-Dispatch shared that the BBWAA has voted on two separate events to make ballots public. The Board of Administrators for the Baseball Corridor of Fame shot the thought down anyway.

“As a gaggle, BBWAA has twice voted overwhelmingly to make all ballots public,” Goold wrote on X. “Corridor has declined our request and I used to be president that first time and tried to make a compelling argument. We urge members to make their ballots public — and a majority do.

“Many people will proceed to strive for the precise motive you point out: transparency is significant to accountability.”
