To the editor: Folks should stay someplace. In the event that they get priced out of conventional housing, they’ll do what they should do (“Far off the grid in the Antelope Valley, RVers make a mess — and elude the homeless count,” Aug. 28).
It irks me when folks criticize homeless folks for leaving trash all over. My query is, how precisely are they imagined to eliminate trash? They haven’t any designated dumpsters, trash cans or trash pickup. Folks in standard housing have big vehicles coming each week to haul away a pile of trash larger than the human who produces it. Simply have a look at footage of any of the New York Metropolis trash strikes to see what occurs when the vehicles don’t come.
