An explosion and gunfire have been reported in Pakistan’s business capital, Karachi.

The blast befell on Saturday close to a gate resulting in the places of work of a paramilitary drive generally known as the Rangers, sources instructed Al Jazeera.

Pakistani media stated the highway is close to a number of universities and Pakistan’s ‌meteorological division.
