    Wingtip of one plane hits another on taxiway at Reagan airport: FAA

    Rep. Grace Meng, D-N.Y., who was additionally on the flight, agreed with Gottheimer, writing on social media, “I am grateful nobody was harm in the present day, however this incident underscores this pressing want restore all FAA jobs that preserve our runways secure.”

    The airline stated “the injury was restricted to a winglet on every plane” and the planes “have been taken out of service to be inspected.”

    The representatives’ flight was headed to JFK Worldwide Airport in New York. The opposite airplane was headed to Charleston, South Carolina.

    The FAA stated it is investigating.

    Reagan has been under scrutiny since January, when an American Airways airplane and an Military helicopter collided close to the airport, killing everyone on board both aircraft.
