To the editor: I’ve by no means been a fan of properties alongside the seashores. In truth, I resent them being there (“Should Malibu fire victims rebuild their coastal homes when the ocean is advancing?” March 26). I can think about the horrible losses these individuals have suffered and don’t want that on anybody. However the properties shouldn’t be changed. Why ought to a single household block entry to our lovely seashores and deprive 1000’s of our residents the chance to view an awesome sundown or dawn or just view our nice California shoreline whereas driving by?
“If you’re out on the deck or down on the seashore, every thing simply disappears,” one of many residents says within the article. “It’s one of the best.”
In my view, it must be one of the best for everybody, not only a choose few.
