    US judge temporarily blocks Trump administration from deploying national guard in Portland

    Oregon requested the courtroom to declare the deployment unlawful and block it from going ahead, saying Trump was exaggerating the specter of protests towards his immigration insurance policies to justify illegally seizing management of state Nationwide Guard models.

    Whereas Trump described town as “conflict ravaged”, Oregon stated that Portland protests have been “small and sedate”, leading to solely 25 arrests in mid-June and no arrests within the three-and-a-half-months since Jun 19. Oregon’s lawsuit stated that Trump introduced the troop deployment after Fox Information confirmed video clips from “considerably bigger and extra turbulent protests” in Portland in 2020.
