    Undocumented man allegedly helped by Milwaukee judge to evade arrest has been deported

    The person, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, was deported on Thursday, DHS mentioned.

    The undocumented man allegedly helped by a Minnesota choose to evade arrest at a Milwaukee courthouse has been deported, based on the Division of Homeland Safety. 

    Milwaukee County Circuit Courtroom Decide Hannah Dugan was arrested in April and charged in a two-count federal indictment alleging obstruction of official DHS elimination proceedings and knowingly concealing the person, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, from immigration authorities.

    Based on federal prosecutors, Dugan encountered federal brokers who had been on the Milwaukee County Circuit Courtroom on April 18 to arrest Flores-Ruiz, who was showing in her courtroom on a battery cost.

    Flores-Ruiz, a local of Mexico, was later arrested and charged with illegal reentry into the U.S.

    He was sentenced to time served earlier this month after pleading responsible to the cost, federal courtroom information present.

    ICE eliminated him on Thursday, based on DHS.

    DHS mentioned Flores-Ruiz illegally entered the U.S. twice and has a “violent felony historical past together with strangulation and suffocation, battery, and home abuse.”

    “Decide Hannah Dugan’s actions to hinder this violent felony’s arrest take ‘activist choose’ to an entire new which means,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin mentioned in a press release Friday. “Due to the courageous women and men of ICE legislation enforcement, this felony is OUT of our nation.

    Dugan has pleaded not responsible to the costs. Her trial is scheduled to start on Dec. 15.

    The Wisconsin Supreme Courtroom suspended Dugan within the wake of her arrest, stating in an order that it discovered it was “within the public curiosity that she be briefly relieved of her official duties.”
