    Top Democrats slam Trump for delaying export curbs on China

    WASHINGTON: Prime Senate Democrats together with Senate Minority Chief Chuck Schumer took intention on the Trump administration on Wednesday (Nov 12) for suspending a measure that blocked 1000’s of Chinese language firms from accessing US know-how within the final spherical of commerce talks with Beijing, calling it a “giveaway of key nationwide safety instruments”.

    The rule, unveiled on Sep 29, sought to cease sanctioned Chinese language firms from utilizing a community of subsidiaries to acquire key American tools they have been in any other case barred from receiving.

    “We urge you to reinstate these controls and finish your giveaway of key nationwide safety instruments.”

    The White Home and the Commerce Division, which oversees export controls, didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark.
