To the editor: Final week, a canine named Marshmallow was euthanized on the metropolis’s South L.A. Animal Shelter. So was 1-year-old Paco on the county’s Lancaster Animal Care Heart. As I write this, extra canines have been cleared for euthanasia on the county’s Palmdale Animal Care Heart. All have good notes. All are wholesome and younger. You’ll be able to see them on the Palmdale shelter web site.

This killing goes on day-after-day at services throughout Southern California simply because there are too many canines in a damaged shelter system.

Maybe California pet brokers comparable to Ashley Vincenti, who was quoted in your article, ought to stroll with these doomed, frightened canines as they urinate out of worry to the shelter’s again room. There, they are going to be pierced with a needle and injected with medication to cease their beating hearts.
