To the editor: Separation of church and state is a founding precept of our nice nation and it’s below nice menace. The earliest colonists, who fled right here to flee spiritual persecution, have been looking for the liberty to comply with their very own beliefs — to not have any ruler or authorities dictate their religion, which meant retaining church and state separate.
Now, virtually 250 years later, Christian nationalist pastor Doug Wilson has discovered an influential spot inside President Trump’s Washington (“Pastor Doug Wilson’s fringe teachings go mainstream in Trump’s Washington,” Sept. 8) whereas proponents of the Heritage Basis’s Mission 2025 are decided to power their spiritual beliefs on all People. State by state, there’s a creep of faith into politics and public faculties. Although many Republicans declare to revere the Founding Fathers, members of the celebration are infringing upon probably the most elementary and profitable tenets of our democracy — separation of church and state.
If Congress gained’t cease these violations, then the courts have to do their job to uphold this essential precept of our nation.

To the editor: The Communion of Reformed Evangelical Church buildings’ subordination of ladies is appalling. I’ve not met anybody of any gender who needs to be dominated. I attribute my 45 years of joyful marriage with my late spouse to us sustaining equal energy in our relationship. If our family roles have been reversed, I’d’ve been equally joyful.
I problem the pastor and his flock to have a day, week or perhaps a month of function reversal with their spouses. See the way it feels.
