DOHA: Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani urged the worldwide group on Sunday (Sep 14) to “cease utilizing double requirements” and punish Israel for what he described as its “crimes”.
He was talking at a preparatory assembly on the eve of an emergency summit of Arab and Islamic leaders organised by Qatar after Israel carried out an unprecedented air strike on Hamas leaders in Doha.
“The time has come for the worldwide group to cease utilizing double requirements and to punish Israel for all of the crimes it has dedicated, and Israel must know that the continuing conflict of extermination that our brotherly Palestinian individuals is being subjected to, and whose goal is to expel them from their land, is not going to work,” the prime minister stated.
In response to Qatar’s international ministry spokesman, Majed al-Ansari, Monday’s assembly of Arab and Islamic leaders will contemplate “a draft decision on the Israeli assault on the State of Qatar”.
