    MANILA: Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr mentioned on Monday (Aug 11) that Beijing has “misinterpreted” his feedback saying Manila shall be inevitably drawn in to a battle between China and Taiwan ought to one erupt.

    China accused Marcos of “playing with fire” after the Philippine chief mentioned throughout a go to to India that “there is no such thing as a method that the Philippines can keep out of it” as a consequence of its proximity to the democratically ruled island.

    “We’re, I believe for propaganda functions, misinterpreted,” Marcos advised a press briefing.

    “I am slightly bit perplexed why it could be characterised as such, as taking part in with fireplace,” he added.

    China’s embassy in Manila didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
