Norwegian Nobel Committee chair Jorgen Watne Frydnes mentioned in a press release he had acquired an “pressing cellphone name” from Mohammadi, 53, who mentioned her life was now in peril.

“The clear message, in her personal phrases, is that ‘I’ve been straight and not directly threatened with ‘bodily elimination’ by brokers of the regime,'” he mentioned.

“The threats conveyed to Ms Mohammadi make it clear that her safety is at stake, until she commits to finish all public engagement inside Iran, in addition to any worldwide advocacy or media appearances in help of democracy, human rights, and freedom of expression,” the assertion added.

The Committee mentioned it was “deeply involved” concerning the threats in opposition to Mohammadi and “all Iranian residents with a vital voice, and name upon the authorities to safeguard not solely their lives, but in addition their freedom of expression”.
