    No. 12 St. John’s capitalize on turnovers to beat UConn

    Rick Pitino and his St. John’s Red Storm crew simply carry on rolling, choosing up their tenth straight win on Friday, knocking off No. 19 UConn, 68-62.

    The Purple Storm might have had one of the best week of the season thus far by any crew within the nation, knocking off No. 11 Marquette and No. 19 UConn.

    St. John’s improved to 21-3 general and 12-1 within the Large East. It’s their greatest begin within the Large East because the 1984-85 season once they reached the Closing 4.

    RJ Luis Jr. continued his season-long excellence, ending with 21 factors and 7 rebounds. 

    Kadary Richmond scored 12 factors, all of these coming within the second half when his crew wanted it essentially the most.
