To the editor: Truthfully, I help Dist. Atty. Nathan Hochman’s determination to convey again the demise penalty, and I believe it is sensible for sure circumstances (“D.A. Hochman officially brings death penalty back to Los Angeles,” March 25). Some crimes are simply so heartless and inhumane that life in jail doesn’t look like sufficient of a punishment. I don’t suppose that it needs to be used calmly, however having it as an choice sends a message that there are, in truth, actual penalties for the worst kind of crimes. I don’t suppose that it’s about revenge, it’s extra so about justice. And typically justice requires being agency.
