To the editor: Oh, nice information. President Trump plans to guide the planning of the 2028 Olympics and is already threatening to have the Nationwide Guard and army on standby (“Trump names himself chair of L.A. Olympics task force, sees role for military during Games,” Aug. 5).
What else does he take into account? I foresee the U.S. crew’s uniforms being the same old purple, white and blue with a MAGA overlay, and perhaps some gold too. The opening ceremony, filled with pomp and circumstance, may have Lee Greenwood and the Village Folks performing and perhaps Sydney Sweeney driving a white horse in her American Eagle denims. Trump will, after all, be carrying the ultimate torch, as he’s as match as any of the athletes (haven’t his medical doctors advised you?). He’ll denounce any non-American athlete who wins a medal as rigged and pretend information, perhaps having Immigration and Customs Enforcement detain them.

To the editor: Within the Aug. 6 Los Angeles Instances, along with the headline noting that President Trump will oversee the L.A. Olympics, I noticed a number of others that drew my consideration to points Trump is creating all over the world.
The Olympics is a time and place for unity by way of athletics. Athletes shouldn’t really feel concern over getting into a rustic that appears to disrespect anybody who isn’t a white American.
I’d vote, proper now, to cancel the Olympics in Los Angeles.

To the editor: My household and I don’t reside within the metropolis of Los Angeles, however we’re all large followers. We reside shut and cease by usually. That stated, it appears to me that having the sitting president of the USA lead the planning for the L.A. Video games is, fairly actually, not a good suggestion.
I suppose that it’s just about too late for town to beg off, or to ask for a raincheck for 4 years down the highway. I believe that the residents haven’t any say on this and, as an outsider, I can solely provide our neighbors in L.A. some swiftly whipped-up foreboding and trustworthy sympathy.

To the editor: Yikes! Patrons, contractors and employees, beware.
When Trump takes over the Olympics, will he preside over a slide into chapter 11, simply as he has accomplished with so many of his companies, and fail to pay everyone?
