Gavin Newsom and too many others, as transgender individuals are subjected to probably the most complete assault since Jim Crow days on the human and constitutional rights of a bunch of Individuals (“Newsom says trans athletes competing in women’s sports is “deeply unfair,” March 6).

To the editor: As a bleeding coronary heart liberal, I say no to permitting transgendered athletes to compete in ladies’ and ladies’s sports activities. I grew up as a pupil within the LAUSD. I’m now 88 years previous. I liked enjoying sports activities and competing. Nonetheless do! Sports activities constructed friendships, and my aggressive spirit in athletics helped me get via some robust educational occasions.
