Letters to the Editor: It’s ‘not right’ for California to go back on credits promised to rooftop solar owners

To the editor: Many due to employees author Melody Peterson for this nice article (“Former Edison executive Calderon, now a lawmaker, seeks to cut rooftop solar credits,” April 21). I’m considered one of many who put in photo voltaic panels and batteries on the request of the state. On the time, I used to be doing residence dialysis and any electrical outage would have been a well being hazard. Now I’ve a system that places energy again onto the utility’s grid most days and so they wish to return on the authorized settlement we signed with them. That’s not proper.

    Richard Lass, Oceano, Calif.

    ..

To the editor: Thanks in your article on Meeting Invoice 942. It’s excessive time someone informed the reality about what the utility corporations try to do to the individuals who trusted the state’s guarantees to offer credit in the event that they added rooftop photo voltaic to their houses. Our grid has been in bother for a very long time and photo voltaic clients have been known as on to minimize the load. Now, because of the utilities’ mismanagement and excessive funds to stockholders, they’re making an attempt to cross the invoice on to those that have already paid. I’m deeply dissatisfied in our governor for getting into their plan. If there’s any justice, AB 942 will fail.

    Lynda Schiff, Santa Maria, Calif.

    ..

To the editor: From the article: “The invoice’s creator, Assemblymember Lisa Calderon (D-Whittier), is a former govt at Southern California Edison and its guardian firm, Edison Worldwide.” Nothing extra must be mentioned.

Trent D. Sanders, La Cañada Flintridge
