    TEHRAN: Iran has expanded entry to its airspace for worldwide overflights following a ceasefire with Israel, although flight restrictions remain in place throughout a lot of the nation, an official mentioned Saturday (Jun 28).

    “Along with the japanese half of the nation’s airspace being accessible for home, worldwide and overflight operations, the airspace over the central and western components of the nation has now additionally been opened just for worldwide overflights,” Majid Akhavan, spokesman for the Ministry of Roads and City Improvement, mentioned in a press release carried by the IRNA state information company.

    Flights to and from airports within the north, south and west of the nation, together with Tehran’s Mehrabad and Imam Khomeini worldwide airports, remained suspended, based on Akhavan.

    “All fellow residents are requested to not go to airports situated within the northern, southern and western areas of the nation,” he mentioned, urging travellers to comply with updates by means of official sources solely.
