About that ‘sweetheart deal’…
We’ve got been following the overview by the US Home Oversight Committee of the investigations and prosecutions of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
One of many many individuals interviewed thus far was Alex Acosta, a former US Legal professional and former Secretary of Labor throughout Donald J. Trump’s first time period.
Acosta is the prosecutor who infamously negotiated the ‘sweetheart plea deal’ for Jeffrey Epstein’s first prosecution in 2008.
From the Committee’s web site:
“At present, the Home Committee on Oversight and Authorities Reform launched the transcript of Alex Acosta’s transcribed interview as a part of its overview of the federal authorities’s dealing with of the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell circumstances.
As well as, the Committee revealed letters from former U.S. Attorneys Basic Eric Holder and Merrick Garland, in addition to former FBI Director James Comey. All three acknowledged, topic to 18 U.S.C. § 1001, that they’d no information or info associated to the Committee’s investigation.”

The Oversight Committee account on X dropped a thread to dispel some Dem misinformation:
“BOMBSHELL: The Acosta transcript simply DESTROYED the Democrats’ Epstein–Trump smear.
Rating Member Garcia and @OversightDems have spent months pushing a LIE towards President Trump.”
1/ Acosta NEVER talked to Trump about Epstein.
Not in individual. Not on the cellphone. Not over e mail.
“He moved in circles that I didn’t transfer in.” (p. 65)

2/ Trump’s title? Didn’t seem within the case. (p. 129)
“I’ve no information of Donald Trump’s title showing in any Epstein doc … (or) being related to the Epstein investigation in any approach.”
“If there was, it’s fairly spectacular it hasn’t leaked by now.” (p. 130) pic.twitter.com/KJfui4ls4H

3/ Did Trump appoint Acosta due to Epstein? No.
“Not in in the least, no.” (p. 124)
Did Trump ask Acosta to resign? No.
“[It] was my selection. It was not steered by anybody on the White Home that I resign.” (p. 124)
This whole speaking level was fabricated by Democrats. pic.twitter.com/tehpEVa2la

4/ Why did Acosta resign?
“Should you turn out to be a distraction, then it’s not acceptable so that you can serve in these jobs. … I didn’t wish to be a distraction to his administration, and I selected to resign.” (p. 125)
The media and Democrats mentioned he was pressured out. One other lie. pic.twitter.com/ZHDux9hBFw

5/ What about Epstein’s sweetheart deal?
“We had an ASSURANCE that he can be in steady confinement.” (p. 44)
“And had we recognized that he was going to get work launch, this WOULD NOT have gone ahead.” (p. 156)
Palm Seaside betrayed that deal, and Epstein walked. pic.twitter.com/0TWYrHuBng

6/ In line with Acosta, the plea deal was about getting Epstein IN JAIL when a trial risked letting him off utterly.
“The trial was a crapshoot, and we simply wished the man to go to jail.” (p. 26)
Democrats knew this and lied anyway. pic.twitter.com/7lI13TfVbh
