    Hiker falls to his death at Utah national park

    A 37-year-old man fell to his dying whereas hiking at Zion Nationwide Park in Utah, authorities confirmed.

    The hiker was discovered lifeless Sunday morning on the Canyon Overlook Path, a mile-long path that runs alongside the east aspect of the park, based on the Nationwide Park Service.

    Authorities obtained a name at 7:06 a.m. reporting a “doable fall of a hiker in Zion Nationwide Park,” based on the Washington County Sheriff’s Division.

    Hurricane Valley Fireplace and Rescue have been first on the scene, the place they discovered the deceased man “at roughly 7:40 a.m.” and decided “he was past assist,” the sheriff’s workplace mentioned in an announcement.

    Washington County sheriff’s deputies arrived shortly after the Hurricane Valley Fireplace and Rescue staff and “confirmed their findings,” based on the assertion.

    The Zion Nationwide Park Technical Search and Rescue Crew assisted in restoration efforts and the “hiker’s stays have been transferred to the Washington County Medical Examiner for additional examination,” based on the Nationwide Park Service.

    The Canyon Overlook Path was quickly closed because of the incident however has since reopened, the Nationwide Park Service mentioned.

    Officers mentioned the Washington County Sheriff’s Workplace is investigating the incident. The identification of the hiker has not been launched.

    This isn’t the primary time somebody has fallen to their dying at Zion Nationwide Park. In October, a 40-year-old man fell approximately 200 feet to his death whereas canyoneering with three others, based on the Nationwide Park Service.
