To the editor: This isn’t the primary time President-elect Donald Trump has talked about shopping for Greenland. (“Blinken says Trump’s push for U.S. to take control of Greenland is ‘not going to happen,’” Jan. 8)

I by no means heard him point out asking the individuals of Greenland what they need to do. In spite of everything, this isn’t like shopping for and promoting house buildings, the place you don’t ask the tenants if they need a brand new landlord. These are individuals who could be residents of a unique nation.

I think that the individuals of Greenland, which is an autonomously ruled a part of Denmark, would most likely not be inquisitive about altering nations. In Denmark (together with Greenland), everybody has well being protection, and folks get a minimal of 5 weeks of paid trip yearly.

So, changing into a part of the US could be a step backward for them.

To the editor: If Trump unlawfully grabs Greenland, it’s going to must be given a MAGA-type identify. I suggest East New Jersey.

    And Canada: North North Dakota.

And the Panama Canal Zone: Baja Texas.
