To the editor: Michael Schneider’s argument against freeway widening in L.A. County on climate change grounds misses a bigger level.

Whether or not or not California meets its local weather objectives is not going to make a penny’s price of distinction to the local weather. California has been “battling” international warming for a few era and has nothing to point out for it besides report warmth and report hearth. California’s obsession with local weather change has produced no profit and has not achieved squat for the local weather.

It’s time to acknowledge California’s “warfare” on local weather change as what it’s — a warfare on the center class.
