    Four civilians killed in fresh Afghan-Pakistan border clash

    KANDAHAR, Afghanistan: An in a single day trade of fireplace at one of many fundamental Pakistan-Afghanistan border crossings killed 4 civilians, an Afghan official stated on Saturday (Dec 6), within the newest flare-up since lethal clashes in October.

    4 others had been wounded, Abdul Karim Jahad, the governor of Spin Boldak district in southern Afghanistan, instructed AFP.

    The native hospital on the Pakistani border city of Chaman stated three folks had been discharged after struggling minor accidents in the course of the conflict.

    Pakistan stated it was Afghanistan that had fired first.

    “A short time in the past, the Afghan Taliban regime resorted to unprovoked firing” alongside the border, Mosharraf Zaidi, a spokesman for Pakistan’s prime minister, stated on X.

    “A direct, befitting and intense response has been given by our armed forces.”

    Residents on the Afghan aspect of the border instructed AFP the trade of fireplace broke out round 10.30pm (Saturday, 2am, Singapore time) and lasted about two hours.

    Ali Mohammed Haqmal, head of Kandahar’s info division, stated Pakistan forces attacked with “gentle and heavy artillery” and that mortar hearth had struck civilian properties.
