    Five people killed in shooting at market in Thailand’s Bangkok | Crimea News

    Police say they’re working to establish deceased suspect.

    5 individuals have been killed and one individual wounded in a taking pictures in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, police say.

    The taking pictures occurred at Or Tor Kor Market within the Bang Sue district of northern Bangkok at 12:31pm (05:31 GMT) on Monday, the Royal Thai Police stated.

    All 5 of the deceased victims have been safety guards on the market, and the suspected perpetrator took his personal life, in keeping with police.

    “Police are investigating the motive. Up to now, it’s a mass taking pictures,” Worapat Sukthai, deputy police chief within the Bang Sue district, was quoted as telling the AFP information company.

    The police are working to establish the suspect and investigating “any attainable hyperlink” to the present border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia, the official stated.

    The shooter was seen in surveillance footage sporting a black T-shirt, a cap, camouflage shorts and a backpack hung over his chest, the Thai Public Broadcasting Service reported.

    Gun violence is comparatively widespread in Thailand in comparison with a lot of the remainder of Southeast Asia.

    In 2020, a junior military officer killed 29 individuals and wounded 58 in a taking pictures rampage within the northeastern metropolis of Nakhon Ratchasima.
