For Farah, evening means concern — a reminder of family members killed within the darkness.
For Myriam, her house was destroyed, taking her mom and sister. Her aunt’s physique stays buried below the rubble.
She lives in a tent beside the ruins and that is the place the 2 women meet to share their grief, fears and hopes for the long run after two years of struggle.
Farah and Myriam is directed by Wissam Moussa. It’s a part of From Floor Zero, a set of twenty-two quick movies made in Gaza, initiated by Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi, to inform the untold tales of the present struggle.
From Floor Zero was the official submission of Palestine, within the Finest Worldwide Function Movie class of the 97th Academy Awards in 2025.
