    EU leaders talk coordination over Greenland as Trump readies for Davos

    LONDON — The escalating showdown between the U.S. and its NATO allies over the destiny of Greenland seems to be set to be a dominant subject of dialog as leaders collect at this week’s World Financial Discussion board occasion in Davos, with U.S. President Donald Trump once more declaring on Monday that American possession of the Arctic island is “crucial.”

    However Trump interpreted the deployments as a provocation, and introduced new 10% tariffs on all items from the eight nations — Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the U.Okay., the Netherlands and Finland — that despatched troops.
