    Education Dept. threatens Columbia University’s accreditation, invoking anti-discrimination laws

    The Division of Schooling despatched a warning to the accreditor of Columbia College on Wednesday, saying the Ivy League establishment violated federal anti-discrimination legal guidelines.

    U.S. Secretary of Schooling Linda McMahon stated in a press release that the choice got here after the spate of protests on college grounds opposing the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.

    McMahon alleged Columbia management “acted with deliberate indifference in the direction of the harassment of Jewish college students on its campus.”
