To the editor: Edward R. Murrow as soon as stated, “A nation of sheep will beget a authorities of wolves.” It jogs my memory of an previous parable in regards to the two wolves inside us, one good and one dangerous, which might be consistently battling. The great wolf represents bravery, fact, generosity and the opposite good issues we search to be. The dangerous wolf represents greed, anger and hatred. (“Democrats belatedly wake up to start battling Trump and Musk,” column, Feb. 17)

A would-be king and his cohort oligarch symbolize the dangerous wolves. Uninformed and apathetic residents and Republican politicians who crave privilege and job safety are the sheep.

A very good wolf’s perspective is at all times primarily based on the query, “What’s greatest for the pack?” The individuals who attend rallies, write postcards, ship letters to the editor, name elected officers and preserve themselves knowledgeable of the dismantling of presidency applications and insurance policies are the great wolves. We reveal our energy now and sooner or later by displaying as much as defend human rights, science, social justice and a democracy in peril.

The great wolves will assist elected officers who do what’s in the most effective curiosity of our nation. Generally we have to remind them that it’s our voices and votes that may decide their destiny in two years. If the pack of fine wolves continues to develop, we’ll reach doing what’s greatest for all of us.

To the editor: It’s time that congressional Democrats obtained a backbone and began noting the lies spouted by the Trump administration.

Each lie uttered by this White Home needs to be publicly rebutted within the halls of Congress so the reality will get an airing on nationwide tv. Have numerous Democrats converse so their phrases will probably be heard by their constituents; don’t simply go away it as much as one distinguished Democratic speaker.

Folks want to listen to the details moderately than simply the lies. Silence implies acquiescence. That’s the very least our representatives ought to do.

To the editor: President Trump and Elon Musk are paring pointless expense from the federal funds whereas on the similar time discovering costly abuse of taxpayers’ cash by exposing wasteful federal applications everywhere in the world.

What’s putting is that Trump and Musk have the braveness to do that tough work, and the opposition, stricken with distemper, is unable to affix the cut-fest and strengthen our nation. Democrats proceed to advocate tax-tax, spend-spend, whereas Republicans are actually paring, parsing and praising the hassle.

To the editor: Is it too quickly to ask, “Are you higher off right this moment than you have been 4 weeks in the past?”
