Teamsters union members working at Costco Wholesale areas throughout the nation voted to authorize a strike on Sunday, with greater than 85% of members in favor of hitting the picket traces.
The union represents greater than 18,000 Costco staff nationally.
“Our members have spoken loud and clear — Costco should ship a good contract, or they will be held accountable,” Teamsters Basic President Sean M. O’Brien mentioned in a press launch Sunday.

“From day one, we have advised Costco that our members will not work a day previous January 31 with no historic, industry-leading settlement. The union says “honest wages and advantages” are the catalyst for the strike.
