A quick-spreading wildfire in California’s wine nation prompted mandatory evacuation orders as firefighters continued to battle the blaze from the bottom and air into Monday.
The Pickett Fireplace in Northern California’s Napa County has burned some 6,803 acres because it broke out Thursday, according to the latest update from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
As of midnight Sunday native time, the fireplace was 11% contained with some 615 constructions at menace, CalFire stated.
