    LONDON: Britain is unprepared for the worsening impacts of local weather change resembling flooding and excessive warmth, the nation’s impartial local weather advisers stated on Wednesday (Apr 30).

    Britain was battered by widespread flooding final 12 months which induced journey disruption and harm to houses, and lately it has suffered heatwaves, droughts and wildfires.

    In response to the report, the federal government stated it was taking sturdy motion to organize for local weather change impacts.

    “We’re investing a report 2.65 billion kilos (US$3.54 billion) to restore and construct flood defences, defending tens of 1000’s of houses and companies and serving to native communities grow to be extra resilient,” a authorities spokesperson stated.
