Authorities trying to find lacking College of Colorado Boulder pupil Megan Trussell — who was final seen on Feb. 9 — recovered a physique matching her description “in hard-to-reach terrain” in Boulder Canyon, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Workplace introduced.
“The decedent’s title just isn’t being launched presently, pending identification affirmation and notification of subsequent of kin,” the Sheriff’s Workplace stated in a Saturday assertion. “The Boulder County Coroner’s Workplace will even decide the trigger and method of demise.”
“The decedent was present in hard-to-reach terrain, requiring a technical evacuation together with the necessity to rappel,” it added. The Sheriff’s Workplace stated Metropolis of Boulder Open Area and Mountain Parks rangers first reported the physique at 10:41 a.m. on Saturday.
“Boulder Canyon Drive was briefly closed to permit investigators entry to get well the decedent, conduct the investigation and for the security of first responders working within the space due hazardous street circumstances created by the climate,” the assertion stated.

Trussell was final seen in her residence corridor carrying a blue/gray jacked, dark-colored yoga pants and white platform sneakers, based on the College of Colorado Boulder Police Division. Campus police have been working with native, state and federal legislation enforcement to search out Trussell.
