To the editor: Responding to the sermon delivered by Episcopal Bishop of Washington Mariann Budde in the course of the nationwide prayer service, President Trump wrote on-line, “She and her church owe the general public an apology!”
With respect, I wish to ask our president a few questions and add a remark.
Did you take heed to her complete sermon concerning the three pillars of unity — respecting the dignity of each human being, telling the reality and dwelling with humility?
Did you hear and really feel her heartfelt last phrases, spoken gently to you? They have been a easy, honest plea for mercy on those that are afraid proper now. The Bible encourages “talking the reality in love,” and that’s precisely what the bishop did.
Most individuals really feel the necessity to apologize often. You must attempt it a while. However on this case, as a member of “her church,” I can not apologize. Your disrespectful remark to her does nothing to assist construct the unity you declare to need for the nation all of us love.

To the editor: As president, Trump can present his energy and energy via gracious phrases of reality.
He may have simply praised Budde for her sort phrases and compassion for immigrants. Then, he may have reminded us that as president, he should care for Americans earlier than immigrants.

To the editor: Budde didn’t scold the president; she pleaded with him to indicate mercy to those that are powerless and afraid.

It takes a lady to have the braveness to refuse Trump’s pardon for Jan. 6 rioters as a result of accepting it will be “an insult to the Capitol Police.” The girl from Boise served her sentence.
It takes a lady, the Statue of Liberty, to welcome immigrants in New York. As a lady and immigrant myself who arrived nearly 50 years in the past in New York with $125 and a suitcase, I noticed America because the land of alternative. I did what most immigrants do — work my manner up.
Disgrace on the wealthy and energy males in enterprise and politics kissing Trump’s ring. Do they actually really feel threatened by immigrants and LGBTQ+ folks?
