To the editor: Almost 200,000 ballots have been flagged for signature issues in California. Despite the fact that many of those have been verified, greater than 83,000 votes weren’t capable of be counted.

If this isn’t a sign that we have to educate cursive handwriting at school, I don’t know what’s.

And that is solely California. What about the remainder of the nation?

    Lorraine Knopf, Santa Monica

    ..

To the editor: I’m 80 years previous. My signature has by no means been constant.

It began as given title, center preliminary, final title. After I obtained my driver’s license, I dropped the preliminary. This lasted by voter registration, I believe.

By the point I used to be writing prescriptions, it was “P Mauer” besides on authorized paperwork equivalent to my will. In any other case, it has deteriorated to a barely legible scrawl.

I actually don’t know which one I used to register to vote.

    Patrick A. Mauer, Pasadena
