The Kansas City Chiefs‘ postseason aspirations suffered an enormous blow after shedding to the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 on Thursday. The loss dropped the reigning AFC champions to 6-6 on the season, leaving them with nearly no margin for error.

The officiating made quite a few questionable calls which will have favored Jerry Jones’ group. Nonetheless, the shortage of self-discipline and quite a few penalties have been an indicator of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid‘s groups for years.

Chiefs’ lack of self-discipline will price them a playoff spot

Per OPTA Stats, the Chiefs dedicated 5 go interference penalties within the second half alone, 4 of them on protection. That is essentially the most PI penalties by any NFL group within the second half of a sport previously 35 years.
