    Albanese tells Australia to ‘turn the heat down’ after bomb threat

    SYDNEY: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated on Wednesday (Feb 25) that he didn’t take his safety without any consideration, after he was evacuated from his residence for a number of hours following an alleged bomb threat.

    Albanese was evacuated from his residence in Canberra late on Tuesday following a safety menace, and returned just a few hours later after nothing suspicious was discovered.

    Police stated there was no ongoing menace.

    “I feel it is only a reminder, take each alternative to inform folks, flip the warmth down for goodness sake,” Albanese stated at an occasion in Melbourne on Wednesday.

    “We will not take this stuff without any consideration.”

    State broadcaster ABC stated on Wednesday the menace was linked to Shen Yun, a classical Chinese language dance troupe banned in China that is because of carry out in Australia this month.

    The message despatched to the group’s native organisers falsely claimed that explosives had been positioned round Albanese’s residence, and would detonate if the group carried out within the nation, the ABC reported.

    Police declined to touch upon the supply of the menace.

    New York-based Shen Yun didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.

    Earlier on Wednesday, Albanese posted on Instagram a photograph of his canine standing by a door at The Lodge, his official residence in Canberra, with a caption thanking police for his or her work.
