    MOSCOW: Russia on Saturday (Jan 4) vowed to retaliate after it accused Ukraine of firing US-supplied ATACMS missiles on the border area of Belgorod the day before today.

    Outgoing US President Joe Biden authorised Kyiv to use long-range weapons against Russia final 12 months, in a transfer Moscow denounced as a grave escalation of the practically three-year battle.

    “On January 3, an try was created from Ukrainian territory to launch a missile strike in opposition to the Belgorod area utilizing US-made ATACMS operational-tactical missiles,” the Russian defence ministry mentioned.
