    New Orleans Saints, NFL announce $1M donation to Bourbon Street victims

    The New Orleans Saints and the NFL introduced Saturday that they’ll donate $1 million to the victims of the New Yr’s Day truck ramming assault on Bourbon Road that killed 14 people and injured dozens of others.

    “Our group has skilled an unimaginable tragedy and our collective hearts are damaged as we mourn for the victims and survivors on the New Yr’s Day terror assault in New Orleans,” Saints proprietor Gayle Benson stated in an announcement.

    The crew can be working with the Higher New Orleans Basis (GNOF) and United Method to assist distribute $500,000 to organizations which can be offering help to the victims and their households.

    The NFL Basis, the league’s philanthropic arm, stated it might match the crew’s donation.

    “The NFL is dedicated to standing with the resilient group of New Orleans throughout this tough time,” Commissioner Roger Goodell stated in an announcement.

    As of Saturday, 13 of the 14 victims have been publicly recognized. Their ages vary from 18 to 63, in line with officers.
