    Iran live updates: Tehran has ‘no plans’ for new round of talks, spokesperson says

    Iranian International Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated Monday that Iran has not but made any resolution relating to a possible new spherical of peace talks with the U.S. in Islamabad.

    “As of now that I’m right here, we’ve no plans for the subsequent spherical of negotiations,” Baghaei stated in a press convention, as quoted by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim Information Company.

    Referring to the attainable continuation of talks in Pakistan, Baghaei stated, “We now have clearly introduced the purple traces and unacceptable objects from the start, and insisting on them is not going to change our principled positions.”

    Baghaei informed reporters that the U.S. and Israel are responsible for the continued disruption within the Strait of Hormuz.

    “The worldwide group should maintain these two actors accountable for making the area insecure,” Baghaei stated, including that U.S. conduct “has proven that it isn’t severe about pursuing the diplomatic course of.”

    Baghaei cited ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon, the U.S. blockade of Iranian ports and Sunday’s seizure of an Iranian cargo vessel as “clear examples” of “aggressive acts.”

    Baghaei added that the repeated U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran over the previous 9 months have undermined Tehran’s belief in American diplomacy.
