    US President Donald Trump mentioned on Thursday (Apr 16) that the leaders of Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 10-day ceasefire.

    “I simply had wonderful conversations with the Extremely Revered President Joseph Aoun, of Lebanon, and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel,” he mentioned on Fact Social.

    “These two Leaders have agreed that as a way to obtain peace between their nations, they are going to formally start a ten day ceasefire at 5pm EST.”

    The US president mentioned the 2 nations met for the primary time in 34 years in Washington DC on Tuesday.

    “I’ve directed Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Rubio, along with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Employees, Dan Razin’ Caine, to work with Israel and Lebanon to realize a Lasting peace,” he mentioned.

    In one other publish on Fact Social, Trump additionally mentioned he could be inviting Netanyahu and Aoun to the White Home for the “first significant talks between Israel and Lebanon since 1983”.
