TEHRAN: Iran’s army warned on Wednesday (Apr 15) it will block commerce by the Pink Sea, together with the Gulf and Sea of Oman, if the US naval blockade on Iranian ports continues.
In a press release carried by Iranian state tv, the pinnacle of the army’s central command centre stated if the US continues with its blockade and “creates insecurity for Iran’s industrial vessels and oil tankers”, it’s going to additionally represent “a prelude” to violating the ceasefire.
“The highly effective armed forces of the Islamic Republic is not going to enable any exports or imports to proceed within the Persian Gulf, the Sea of Oman, and the Pink Sea,” stated Ali Abdollahi.
