    JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday (Apr 9) stated Israel would maintain hitting Iran-backed Hezbollah “wherever essential”, the day after deadly Israeli strikes pummelled Lebanon.

    “We’re persevering with to strike Hezbollah with power, precision, and willpower,” Netanyahu stated on his private X account. 

    “Our message is obvious: anybody who acts in opposition to Israeli civilians – we’ll strike them. We’ll proceed to hit Hezbollah wherever essential, till we absolutely restore safety to the residents of the north” of Israel, he added.

    In the meantime, Israel’s navy stated it was persevering with floor operations in southern Lebanon, the place troops have been combating Hezbollah and holding positions since early March.

    In a separate assertion, it stated it had struck in a single day “two key crossings utilized by Hezbollah terrorists and commanders for motion from north to south of the Litani River in Lebanon to switch 1000’s of weapons, rockets, and launchers”.

    It added that it had struck “roughly 10 weapons storage amenities, launchers, and command centres” belonging to the Lebanese armed group.

    Israeli strikes pummelled Lebanon Wednesday, killing over 200 folks and wounding over 1,000, the Lebanese well being ministry stated.
