SANAA, Yemen: Yemen’s Houthis on Wednesday (Apr 1) claimed a missile assault in opposition to Israel that they mentioned was launched collectively with their backer Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah group – the third such assault by the rebels since they entered the Middle East war.
Earlier on Wednesday, Israel’s navy mentioned its air defences had responded to a missile launched from Yemen, later saying that residents have been “permitted to go away protected areas in all areas of the nation”.
Israeli media mentioned the missile was intercepted, and there have been no studies of any casualties or harm.
The Houthis “carried out the third navy operation … focusing on delicate Israeli enemy targets … with a barrage of ballistic missiles”, Houthi navy spokesman Yahya Saree mentioned in a video assertion.
“This operation was carried out collectively with our mujahideen brothers in Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon,” he added.
Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels claimed missile and drone assaults focusing on Israel over the weekend, their first within the present struggle.
The Israeli navy additionally mentioned on Monday that two drones launched from Yemen have been intercepted.
