    Secret Service agent on Jill Biden detail shoots self in the leg, official says

    A U.S. Secret Service agent assigned to former first woman Jill Biden’s element shot himself within the leg on Friday morning as the results of a “negligent discharge,” in line with an company official.

    Dr. Jill Biden was not within the neighborhood of the capturing, the official mentioned.

    The agent “suffered a non-life-threatening harm following a negligent discharge whereas dealing with a service weapon on the Philadelphia Worldwide Airport throughout a protecting task,” the Secret Service mentioned in an announcement.

    “There have been no reported accidents to some other people and the particular agent is being evaluated at an space hospital in secure situation,” the company mentioned.

    There is no such thing as a risk related to this incident, the Secret Service official mentioned earlier.

    Emergency medical companies responded to the scene and transported the agent to Penn Presbyterian Medical Heart the place he was listed in secure situation, the Philadelphia Police Division mentioned.

    The scene is being held for the investigation and there have been no disruptions to airport operations, the police division mentioned.

    The Secret Service’s Workplace of Skilled Duty “can be reviewing the information and circumstances of this incident,” the company mentioned.
