Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson likes new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion’s offense, a great signal for the workforce.

On a latest “Fitz & Whit” podcast, the two-time Tremendous Bowl champion mentioned he is “enthusiastic about this new system.” Johnson mentioned Mannion’s offense options components of the scheme of San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan, who’s recognized for high-powered assaults.

“I feel it can perhaps be simpler on the sting for [left tackle] Jordan [Mailata] and I,” Johnson added. “… I’ve watched these offenses from afar and was like, ‘Rattling, that appears fairly enjoyable.'”

Underneath former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, the Eagles had the Twenty fourth-ranked offense within the NFL (311.2 yards per sport). Three-time Professional Bowl quarterback Jalen Hurts was sacked 32 occasions final season (ranked thirteenth in NFL), largely due to an injury-plagued offensive line.

Johnson, a six-time Professional Bowl proper deal with, has spent his whole 13-year profession with the Eagles. The 2-time All-Professional deal with was restricted to 10 video games in 2025 and missed the Eagles’ wild-card sport loss due to a Lisfranc damage.

The Eagles are bringing in new personnel on offense

Johnson is certainly one of many gamers getting back from Eagles’ Tremendous Bowl roster in 2024. Longtime Eagles tight finish Dallas Goedert just lately signed a one-year take care of the workforce.

However the offense may have new faces, too, together with broad receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown, who spent the previous two seasons with the Kansas Metropolis Chiefs. In 2025, he had 587 receiving yards (12 yards per catch) and 5 landing catches. Brown needs to be a strong slot receiver and good third possibility for Hurts if A.J. Brown, the topic of commerce rumors, or DeVonta Smith aren’t open.

Former Houston Texan Dameon Pierce was added on a one-year contract as another choice at operating again. Three-time Professional Bowl operating again Saquon Barkley will get nearly all of carries, with Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley factoring in as nicely.

The brand new additions and Johnson’s buy-in are good indicators for the Eagles.
